Nosgoth Mortals
The social structure of Nosgoth is one that has been unchanged by time. Mortals do not normally have the same gifts as that of the Sarafan or Vampires but every now and then there is a mortal born who is not suited to fit one side or the other. Mortals like all mortals age, and have relatively meager lives. A social standing of rank, station, or occupation defines who that mortal will be and how they will be seen. Mortals do not live longer then the expected age of 100. The older a mortal gets the weaker and more feeble they become. Mortals live a rather un-interesting life and are often at the mercy of those who are stronger or more powerful.
Social Class
Royalty: Born with in a line of royal blood no King ever sat upon the throne of Nosgoth who was born outside of this line. It is customary for a King to bear many children and if they can not bear a child the Kings brother will be given the right to the throne. Every Princess and Prince ever born to the throne must NEVER be allowed to leave the Kingdom. Often any and all Royalty is heavily guarded by the Sarafan.
Aristocrats: Noble families that have ties to the royal family by way of distant cousin or distant blood relation to the King or past kings. Though it is not hard to obtain a title if you have the money. True blue bloods among society who can own slaves, vast sets of land, and even military under their house name. (small security)
Working Class: The working class are a group of honest hard working men and woman. Butchers, Blacksmiths, and Bakers are keen examples of honest hard working civilians. Those who offer services to king and country are paid for their wages as well as taxed.
Low Class: Being classed as a person of questionable means. A whore, tax collector, gypsy fortune tellers are viewed as low class. Though their work is not that of an honest man it is what keeps bread on the table. Having undesirable jobs makes them the social outcast.
The poverty stricken: Thieves, Bandits, and beggars are often the poverty stricken. It is these that are more endanger of finding themselves in jail or worse. There is no tolerance for this class of people and usually end up dying young.
